In the heart of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve in the Algarve, Quinta do Lago is a unique and memorable place, it is a Clean & Safe destination, it has sublime restaurants, luxury hotels and resorts, premier sports hub and golden sand beach, all surrounded by three award winning golf courses. 

Golf courses are a huge part of the image of Quinta do Lago and as you may know many golf courses use too much water and are often criticised for taking water that could be used for a better purpose. Well, that´s the reason why Quinta do Lago is looking for ways to actually cut down on the amount of water that is used on the course and is also becoming more sustainable to provide the best quality of life, comfort, a rich and fulfilling life to our dear visitors.

Did you know that sustainability is now the key driver of innovation? Well, it is!
Quinta do Lago has a structured environmental management program and, during the time it was closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they have made an investment of 7 million euros in the renovation of some golf courses to implement an eco-friendly strategy to make it more sustainable.

In addition, Quinta do Lago has another sustainability iniatiatives underway, such as a greater integration with the local community, reducing the use of plastic and they also have the "Q Farm", an agricultural farm created in the heart of the luxury property to supply the resident restaurants with fresh and locally produced products.
